Bram Bout CEO and Chairman of the Management Board Dr. Abraham (Bram) Bout is Chief Executive Officer of Bioceros BV. Prior to joining Bioceros he was employed by Crucell (from 1993 till March 2007), where he held several management positions with increasing responsibility. His last position at Crucell was Vice President, Protein Production. Dr. Bout is co-inventor of the human PER.C6® production platform which is used for the development and manufacturing of vaccines, monoclonal antibodies, therapeutic proteins and gene therapy products. He studied Chemistry at the University of Amsterdam and his PhD thesis was on peroxisomal storage disorders. Dr. Bout is also Chief Technology Officer at ProFibrix BV (Leiden, The Netherlands) and is member of the Scientific Advisory Boards of Proteonic BV (Leiden, The Netherlands) and CELLution BV (Assen, The Netherlands). He published over 50 scientific articles and is co-inventor on 90 patents about the PER.C6® cell line technology and in the field of recombinant protein production and gene therapy.

Remco M. Brandt Chief Operating Officer Mr. Brandt holds a Master of Science degree in Management and held several scientific and management positions over the last decades in both Academic institutions and biotech companies in the Netherlands and the US. He was closely involved in the set up of several new life science laboratories. He has a broad experience in regulations, permits, HR and facility management specifically for biotech-oriented organizations. Most recently he was director of administration of MacroZyme BV, a small Dutch biopharmaceutical company. He is founder of Life Science Purchasing Power BV, a purchase service provider solely for Biotech companies and CEO of Cilian AG (Münster, Germany). Mr. Brandt is author/co-author of over 30 papers in international scientific journals in the field of immunology.

Louis Boon Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Louis Boon received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Amsterdam. He also carried out post-doctoral positions at the University of Amsterdam. Thereafter he was one of the founders of PanGenetics where he was responsible for project management and animal studies. Since the merger between PanGenetics and Tanox Inc. in Houston (USA), he had the position of senior scientist, in which he was worldwide responsible for pre-clinical safety assessments and animals studies for the Tanox group. For this reason Dr. Boon has performed antibody therapy for immuno-inflammatory diseases both in murine and non-human primate disease models and healthy non-human primates. Thereafter Dr. Boon was for 2 years Director of Preclinical R&D of MacroZyme BV, where he was responsible for a small molecule project in the metabolic field and various potential protein-based therapeutic molecules. In 2003 he was one of the founders of Bioceros BV were he currently hold a position of Chief Scientific Officer (CSO). In addition he held positions as CSO for 4AZA Bioscience NV until the end of 2006. He has extensive experience in molecular and cellular immunology. Dr. Boon is author/co-author of over 100 papers in international scientific journals in the field of medical biotechnology.
